I moved to Prestonwood 40 years ago from Colorado and shopped at the Skagg’s-I remember it well. My husband and I live in Plano now but we decided to stop and give this new development a try. We had such a nice evening, sitting on the patio, enjoying the weather and food. Our salad was beautiful and fresh and our pie was delicious. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. I’m so happy this has been renovated to create a real community. We look forward to coming back.
I loved the aesthetics of the place and the decor. The staff were all friendly. I've been here twice for pizza and the flavors are great but the dough is paper thin and toppings can be scarce. The brisket lasagna (only on Friday and Saturdays) looked good, I might try that another time.
This Cane Rosso brings to bear the same delicious, Neapolitan pizzas and other fare but now closer to home. Having eaten copiously at other locations, there really aren't many surprises, but I can say generally speaking I walked away satisfied with one exception, which I'll explain: My pizza had roughly twice as much cheese as it ought to have had. We literally visited in this location's first week of operations, so I recognize that they're training new staff, and getting use to implementing new procedures, etc. I told the manager and she agreed with my assessment.
Normally, this kind of issue would drop a review down to four stars, but I'm extending one extra star on "credit," with the genuine belief that we'll visit again soon and the exact right amount of cheese will be present.
In addition to great food, there's a great outdoor area that's nice for kids and adults alike. When the weather is nice, the outdoor seating would be a great option for families with young kids.
In all, I can't recommend Cane Rosso enough, and I look forward to eating again soon and amending this review should the cheese situation improve.
UPDATE - returned to Cane Rosso last week and the cheese situation was fixed. Amazing. Love it. Keep up the good work, Cane Rosso!
The perfect addition to our neighborhood. Love cane Rosso & this location doesn’t disappoint. I’m surprised the 4.3 overall score? What’s not to love?? Anyway we’ve ordered pick-up and dined in, both great experiences. Can’t wait for it to cool down and eat on the patio.
Food was really good. I gave 4 star because the pizzas were soggy and wet in the middle. U pick up a slice and the topping came off. Pizza was cooked and flavorful but wished it was solid
