Don't let the look of this place turn you away! I've been looking far and wide for the perfect place for New York style pizza and Carmine's got it! Decent prices, the slices have a nice flop but still manage to get a good crunch from the crust. The pizza is to die for!
I’ve been a customer since 1996. This is the best pizza in Dallas. Always worth the drive.
delicious home made pizza and they had a great dinner salad with a fresh tomato slice on top! the pizza crust was thin and crispy too. loved it!
It's a small mom and pop place with some wonderful and friendly owners, who have been open at this location for nearly 40 years. There's nothing fancy about the place, but it is clean, and the pizza is very tasty. What I like is that pizza is available by the slice. They have the typical cheese and red pepper shakers on the tables, as well as oregano. I don't remember the menu, but they do have calzone. Maybe it's because I've been there close to closing time, but the choices were only cheese pizza or pepperoni, but they do offer to add additional ingredients, which is actually pretty smart business practice. They place your choice back in the oven to warm it up, and the pizza comes out delicious. You dispense your own drink at the fountain into paper cups, and they don't sell alcohol. I didn't notice a dough machine for rolling out the dough, and I got the impression they hand roll it. I'll definitely go back.
Some of if not the best pizza in Dallas, great family owned atmosphere if there were six stars they would get them. Fast, friendly and delicious!! Wanted to update my review from 2 years ago. Still the best pizza I've had in DFW and as good as any where ever! Same friendly folks prompt to go orders and always incredible food. Try it you will love Carmine's.
