Kendall Karsen’s Upscale Soul Food

Quaint, clean, with friendly service... The food is delicious. Liver and Onions is amazing. The cornbread stuffing, fried catfish, chicken tetrazinni were all winners!!

First the place is very clean and the staff was very polite and friendly. I had the chicken and dressing with Mac and cheese and collard greens and it was absolutely amazing. Food was seasoned great, Mac and cheese had a great flavor. The dressing was too good could’ve ate it by itself. The greens and cornbread was perfect and the chicken was juicy and full of flavors. I will definitely be going back as soon as tomorrow to try the rest of the menu!

Stopped here for dinner and could not have been more impressed. The food, the vibe, the service was all top notch 'upscale'. The chicken had a great smoke flavor and fell right off the bone with a poke of the fork. The stuffing is probably the best I've ever had and the yams were perfect. Collard greens along with everything else also tasted freshly cooked. Chicken Tetrazinni, mac/cheese and greens beans were great as well. A must try for anyone looking for fresh, authentic, high quality soul food.
