Mike's Chicken

Delicious fried chicken!!! The biscuits are so yummy too! My top two highlights of the entree. Of the sauces, I preferred Buffalo over original Mike’s sauce. Mac and cheese was pretty good. Mashed potatoes was okay. Definitely would come again when I’m nearby!

I have gone to the original location off Maple for years and was hesitant to try this location. Though, now having gone, I am unsure how this location is not a perfect 5. The chicken was crispy, actual crunch in each bite, and the breading holds up when dipping in the house made sauces (buffalo is my favorite and its made with peanut butter as a thickener to best adhere to the fried chicken). If you like heat, try the spicy version which is what I got. Each chicken strip is roughly an 1-1.5" thick of white meat and 6" long at least.

Probably one of the best chicken I ever had . Ordered like a bunch of different combination to go for family dinner . We got the drums and breast along with corns , biscuits , string beans , beans and fries . The chicken was amazing well cooked and crispy. Not too oily and every sides tasted good also. So far everything was good.

Their customer service was good and attentive, place was clean but felt hot inside. Now the food, not the same flavor as original location. Sweet tea was bitter. My greenbeans were hard no flavor just lightly coated. The chicken was very deep fried no flavor to the chicken but oily. The coleslaw is made different, and it even had red bell peppers which was weird. And my sandwich didnt even have chipotle mayo so it was dry and flavorless. Fires extra crispy, hot and oily flavor. Now this location is a bit closer and less traffic then maple and plenty of parking. I will give it a 2nd try but if i have the time then i will make the longer drive to maple ave.

Today's was location #2 of Mike's Chicken very first day open, and on the net, it is every bit as good as the first one, long standing best fried chicken (and tenders) in the Dallas metroplex

1. Service was on a par with Mike's original. Just order and wait- forget any higher expectations or special orders, which are just silly at this place.

2. Do expect the best fried chicken (and tenders) you have ever eaten, hot, juicy, flavorful, crispy, and heavenly in every other imaginable dimension.

3. Facility is superior to the original Mike's, shiny and clean with sparkling roomy restrooms in the restaurant itself (gasp)!

If you've never eaten at Mike's, you've not yet lived- get to the closest one you can find, enjoy, and make your life better going forward in a way you've never before imagined.
