I visit here regularly. Same great staff for decades. Tonight I had the Coal Miners pasta one of my "go to" favorites. On Monday nights I love their steak hamburgers. They also have amazing beef tournedos. They usually have a fantastic fruit cobbler but tonight I didn't do dessert. The Grape is an awesome, quiet place to have a delicious dinner.
not sure what I can say that others have not but absolutely delicious food and very friendly service. Totally is a neighborhood joint which we absolutely loved. The salmon and steak frites are an absolute must
Mushroom soup is delicious and a definite must try. We were there for their hamburgers, Sunday and Monday only, they were incredible and cooked exactly as you request, which is a rare feat in this day and age. Overall it was a great dining experience. One thing to note though is that the inside dining area is very compact so it can get fairly noisy during busy times.
Great food and service! The happy hour cocktail was a grapefruit mule that was so light and refreshing. The old fashioned was one of the best I had in Dallas. We started with the cheese board. It was good- the Gouda seemed like it was getting towards the end of the rind. For dinner, my husband had the steak and I had the salmon. Both cooked to perfection. We will be back.
Although it wasn't particularly cold, being seated in the enclosed sidewalk area caused some concern. The metal chairs were very chilly at first and are not comfortable. Fortunately the heating system made dining a more pleasant experience than we would have thought. We were able to have a conversation and have excellent duck confit and salmon dishes. Food was delicious and the service was fine. But I would not want to sit there if the weather was colder.
