Our waiter was super friendly and apologize that their oyster truck was running behind. A very solid happy hour option. Everything we had was super tasty!
Had a great meal. The oysters were really good and the connecticut lobster bun was great (although small). Would order the side fries (they are amazing) instead of the coleslaw.
Great food, great service. Highly recommend this casual atmosphere with upscale taste. The Lobster Benedict was absolutely delicious and the poached eggs were cooked to perfection. This is not typically the area I often visit, but the friendly atmosphere did not make me feel out of place! The Oysters tasted like they were directly from the ocean out back if there was one. Highly recommend this place to everyone. Thank you for the service Mitchell!
Great service, delish lobster rolls! Shrimp cocktail was nice and cold with flavorful cocktail sauce. Both fries and Cole slaw were great sides! We will be back.
I think with time this restaurant could get five stars. The first issue though is the noise. My dining partner and I could almost not hear each other speak at various points during the evening. It is not necessary to have raucous music to have a good time. I also felt the lights were a little bright in the main dining room for dinner time. I get during the day that it is nice to have the brighter lights but at night I want more ambience and I felt like I was on display.
The main lobster roll was really good. The taste was excellent and very fresh. I prefer my lobster chopped much more finely than the bigger chunks they have. Otherwise the chunks spill out of the roll and onto the floor, etc. Just a preference. The fries were very tasty although I would like them to be served with tartar sauce as well as the ketchup. The coleslaw was excellent as well.
Based on the location and the rent they have to pay, I understand why they have to charge so much for a roll. I felt it was fair. Part of going there is being able to stroll around Highland Park Village and enjoy the twinkling lights. I would return one more time to see if the music is lower and the lighting is dimmer. Definitely seems to be a trend in Dallas right now where loud music is all the rage. This restaurant had nothing for noise dampening and as a result they need to make adjustments.
