This place is a small to go Vietnamese spot with banh cuon/uot (rice crepes filled with pork or shrimp/plain rice crepe), goi cuon (pork and shrimp spring rolls) Banh beo (water fern cakes - small rice cakes with dried shrimp topping), rice and noodle dishes (chicken, pork), Vietnamese fried egg rolls, and other dishes. There isn’t a lot on display and they put out a few containers of food on the counter to buy to go. Behind the counter is where you ask/order for the banh cuon, Banh uot, Banh Xeo and other hot foods. I believe the banh cuon/uot are the most popular foods to get here. I would stick with those items. I got egg rolls (Cha Gio) and thought they were ok. The filling was more veggie than meat. The egg rolls were 3 for $2 and I got 6. They do take credit card, but I think it needs to be over $10.
Was craving bánh cuốn or bánh ướt one day and my cousin recommended this place. Definitely hit the spot but the price was a little higher than I was expecting.
My dad and I always come here for a full quick meal. It's a small place, there are 4 tables sometimes they are sticky. If you are dining in, you can get a drink from the cooler as you wait for your meal. When you pay, they will count how many drinks and dishes you ordered. You have to leave the restaurant to go to the main mall to wash your hands. Banh Xeo (yellow crispy pancake) contains shelled shrimp. They don't remove the shell to prevent the shrimp from drying out during the cooking process. The meal comes with Roman lettuce, cilantro, and mint. Take some of the vegetables, rip the Banh Xeo and eat it like a taco.
First time try banh xeo is very excellent, super clean place, respect for servive ans i will come back.
When in Dallas, mom loves this place so it gets five stars from me. Vietnamese food to go in a Vietnamese dominated strip mall. You can get Vietnamese "pancake" here and ravioli in several varieties. This is for people who actually are Vietnamese and probably less so for most non Asians.
