    Lovely owners. Wonderful hospitality. I had my husband's surprise birthday party here and they were just great in every way. Can't wait to held my next event there. Thank you Elfe. ????❤☺

    My friend, who is Ethiopian himself, took me to Maru Grocery on a beautiful summer day to try the new restaurant location. I can certify that this is the best Ethiopian food in all of Dallas, if not the best I've had anywhere. I live in San Francisco and nothing has yet rivaled the flavor and freshness of Maru. Portions are sizable and the injera is warm and pillowy. Apparently they get the meat from a ranch they partner with, and it shows. We got an assorted platter and all of the meat was tender, the greens flavorful, and the presentation made everything accessible for someone like me who was a newbie at the time. Definitely check this place out if you have any interest in Ethiopian food and culture, which you should. And bonus, because they're also a grocer, they have tons of products like teas, breads, and juices. I forget the name but the pink juice I got hit the spot.
