This is a lovely, well kept vintage restaurant. It is small and very unique and interesting. The food is classic Ted Mex served in a sort of fast food way. It is hard to categorize. There is a drive thru, but I suggest going inside. The food is good and there is a wide variety to choose from. It is a really fun place.
They give you flimsy paper plates covered with foil. The cheeses and all toppings like sour cream, guacamole, salsa, chili, etc. all sticks to the foil so that when you peel off the foil, there goes all the toppings with it. I don't see the point of not getting foam plates to go like e everyone else. It's not like the prices are really low. Normal if not higher prices than any other drive through or dine in place. Good is not bad tasting though.
This place my have a unique taste to mostly Grand Prairie folks, but at the end of the day, bellies are full, the community smiles and memories are made. My parents raised me eating here and now I with my kids do the same. they are grass rooted deep in our community and have certainly earned their place and respect. Proud of where I came from and ALWAYS look forward to Taco Thursday. Oh and did I mention its romantic!! More hot sauce please. :-)
A new favorite Tex Mex spot for us! This little family owned gem is in a cool spot in downtown Grand Prairie and has a ton a charm and great food. We love TexMex in general but this place really nails it! We have two small kids so a family friendly restaurant is always a good discovery. They’ve got a generous children’s menu that’s full of food that’s just the right size for tinier appetites. Do yourself a favor and visit these fine people when you’re in town!
