Captain Nemo's Steak Submarines

Friends brought me here while I was visiting the area and it was the best local place I could have hoped to be introduced to. Great sandwich, large portion for the price, comfortable selection, and those nice real plastic cups that can be washed and reused.

It's probably one of the best kept secrets in Irving TX as far as a Sub Shop goes. The quality is better than any chain sub shop out there.
There is absolutely nothing bad on the menu. Been coming here for over 25 years will go there every time I make the stop through Irving.

Lived in Irving all of my life, heard about this place as long and this was the first time I'd ever been here. Sandwich was good, even if I did get lettuce when asked without. It was very busy at lunch, so plan accordingly. I'm sure that I'll be back.

In my opinion, this is the best place to get a sub sandwich. The steak and cheese is terrific- the meat and cheese, along with the fresh veggies and seasoning just melt in your mouth. The bread is so soft, unlike the other sandwich places that bake their own bread. I haven't tried any of the other sandwiches, the soup, or the chili, but I plan to do so when I visit on Friday. It's obvious that you don't stay in business for 45 years by serving poor quality food. Right now, they have carrot cake for the holidays- I'm gonna get me some of that as well!
