This is an OK Asian buffet. They have a typical Asian buffet gallery. The food taste good. I'd say a little bit better than other places I've been to. The grill is OK but missing some typical grill items like eggs and noodles (the cook would give you noodles when he grills but I'd prefer to portion my noodles myself). Overall, I'd say it's a good Asian buffet and worth the price.
They have a great selection for their buffet and it was all delicious. They also have a great Mongolian grill and sushi bar. Service for drinks was quick and she was friendly. Great experience!
All you can eat. The hot bar side food has always been good right then and there. If you want the grill side just know you may end up waiting or get an attitude from the cook. He's never been friendly anytime I've gone.
There are several Chinese buffet in the area, I generally alternate between them as they all have different things I like about each.
East Buffet is always fresh, with courteous staff, and are definitely worth your time if you're looking for something new.
I strongly recommend that you try the jalapeno chicken, walnut shrimp, fried fish, and pretty much anything on the salad bar. The egg drop soup and chicken sticks are also good.
East Buffet has a hibachi grill, but I've never partaken. Others in my group have and enjoyed it. The King Buffet on Loop 12 has a larger selection on the hibachi, but neither come close to something like Genghis Grill.
I love crawfish (which East offers), but I find them to be not worth my time here since they're fairly bland and pretty small.
The decor is dated and could use a refresh, but I'm honestly more concerned about the quality of the food and the company I'm with than looking at the scenery.
The food is excellent. Great choices, much variety, well prepared. I usually go on a weeknight, but no more on Sat. Night. Little children running everywhere. No parental control over them. NO MANNERS. They break up in line when you are waiting for a special item. They monopolize the dessert items, leaving area messy. This is not restaurant's fault. It's the parents.
Please require that children under 10 must be accompanied by a parent to go to the buffet. I would like to enjoy my dinner too.
