Fortune House Chinese Cuisine

Very long wait for lunch. The food was fine. I didn’t have a chance to try their dumplings. They made them in house so maybe next time.

This place is a hidden gem. I'm not normally excited for Chinese food but I'll definitely be going back and looking forward to it. Awesome soup dumplings. Be aware it is family style, so don't order like we did and end up with a mass amount of food. Amazing food though. It's actual real made to order food not the usual Chinese buffet.

Delicious Chinese cuisine and good ambiance. We had the pork dumplings for an appetizer and the split the stir fried vegetables that came with white rice. Each vegetable expressed its own flavor while being in total harmony with the rest of the dish. The fortune cookie was all we needed for dessert.
The restaurants has wonderful views of the Dallas Skyline. Sit side-by-side to share the view. The tables are elegantly set withcloth napkins and chopsticks are always provided. A fork is also provided for those who are not so proficient with chopsticks. The empty plates on the table clue you in that the dishes are meant to be shared.
While the two of us were at a table for four, there were larger circular tables that would seat 8. Beautiful setting, great food, you only need to provide great company.

We came 20 miles away for the Shanghai soup dumplings. They were very good. Also tried the beef and noodle off the lunch menu. It was way too salty. The shrimp with salted duck eggs was very good. From the dinner menu we tried the fish with tofu. Good but a little too salty. Service could be better waiter came over only if we waved him down.

What a great place to come and eat with your friends and family! I went their yesterday and I can say that the servers there are top class! I enjoyed my meal and had an amazing night there! My server was Melvin and he was so entertaining that it made my night! Very authentic and very different from other places I have eaten, traditional dishes and classy environment!
