Good food. Fast friendly service. They really know how to make vegetables taste great. Especially any kind of beans they serve. The coconut pie is heavenly so we usually get the whole pie. It's cheaper that way. We frequent Mama's regularly and I've never been disappointed.
Every time we go to the one off Shady Grove in Irving, we always feel like we are at home eating with family. The staff is extraordinarily sweet and very friendly. If you go and Tina is working, you must have her as your waitress, she is exceptional!! Wonderful place to eat and great people!
Delicious home town favorite. The greens were great and my chicken fried steak was crunchy goodness. The service is lightening speed and you gotta love those rolls. I wish I could say I go here more often but I always end up passing it up, that doesnt change the fact that they are great though
I was craving diner pancakes, and this place really hit the spot! The pancakes were bigger than my face, but fluffy, perfectly browned, and delicious. The cornbread had the perfect amount of crumble and a great corn flavor. I also got the ham egg and cheese sandwich. It was good, but the pancakes and cornbread were much better. Also, the service was friendly and attentive. She kept us in the loop when one of our sandwiches was taking a little longer, so we weren't left wondering what was going on. Plenty of parking here as well. There was someone cleaning up litter in the parking lot when we arrived which shows that they care about their appearance. I would definitely recommend this place, the pancakes, and their cornbread.
My wife heard about Mam’s Daughter’s Diner in a radio ad. We tried it last Saturday morning and the breakfast and service was wonderful! We were seated right away and the server made us feel welcome. Portions were large. We were both able to take food home for Sunday morning (I ordered extra biscuits-they were so good!) We plan on making Mama’s Daughter’s Diner on a regular basis.
