Mr. Blackwell BBQ

I normally don't bother to write reviews. Having said that, I can't recommend any other BBQ after eating at Mr B's. Unfortunately he had sold out of brisket at lunch, but he had the best ribs and pulled pork I can remember having. And I normally am the guy who will stop at any hole in the wall BBQ place u see. Some of the best tasting sauce ever. Sweet and spicy but not to the point where other people can't enjoy it. The beans, potato salad, banana pudding, hell peach cobbler, all on point. I don't even like peach cobbler. If you love BBQ you're only cheating yourself if you don't go get his. Nuff said

After searching through a series of Bland fast food options for 45 minutes I found this place. It was incredibly worth it. Mr. Blackwell is an incredibly kind man who provides great customer services and even better food. I ordered a BBQ Brisket Sandwich and a loaded baked potato. He took his time to ensure everything was perfect, He hand buttered the bun, cut the meat at the time of preparing and didn't take short cuts. This may seem menial but he cares about the product he delivers and that shows in how the food tastes.

The portion sizes are generous and well worth the price. If you care about how your food tastes the wait is negligible. I would advice anyone who likes BBQ to skip dickeys, skip springcreek, skip any other chain BBQ place and go here, you get more and better for your money.

Wow! Small place with Great Service! I had the Philly Style BBQ Sandwhich and it was awesome. Took half of it home to finish later! Their fries are very tasty too with the spice they put on them. I can't wait to try the other items on their menu.

Philly sandwich bbq style is great like the loaded bake potato. Mr Blackwell best bbq in Mesquite hands down.

I went inside the AP mart for a beverage when I met Mr. Blackwell. I had the pleasure of trying the Philly Style and the 50/50 dessert. It was so good. The BBQ was jus delicious. The dessert was made from scratch and I'm very particular about my desserts. I wasn't disappointed. My mom loved her brisket sandwich and 50/50 dessert. I will be back very soon
