85C Bakery Cafe - Richardson

Let me start by saying, I love this bakery.
I try to go every morning that I'm able. However, I've been more dissatisfied these past couple weeks because, if you open your store at 7 am and I show up at 7:15 am, I anticipate food to be out and not told it will be 20-30 minutes before it's done.
You wouldn't show up to a basic donut shop and see no donuts.
I drive by every morning to check if things are out, then have to go to another bakery I like far less. Takes an extra 15 minutes (work starts at 7:30) out of my morning to check, but if there is food out, it's worth it.
I love the food and coffee but please have your menu ready when you open.

Oh my, such a wonderful variety of pastries, buns, and, egg tarts they have! One bite and it transports me back to Asia, the taste being not as sweet as the Europeans or here! Their Individually made boba milk tea are delicious also! Help usually readily available with the self serving displays! Back many times over! :)))))

I came here with a couple of friends, and we enjoyed it! The drinks and pastries/desserts are alright. The service and set up are very nice, and overall, I would recommend the place to others to at least try out! I got an iced brown sugar latte and enjoyed it! I got my husband some strawberry deluxe cake, and he said it was okay. It did not have enough cheese to him, and so, it wasn't as soft as he expected. I plan to go to another location and try out their other desserts!

All of my local friends recommended this place, especially after having dinner at Jeng Chi. I can safely say, they're not wrong. You have to visit this bakery at least once if you're in the area. Apart from just being a very accommodating social space, very modern, they have a helpful system for selecting the bake goods you want, then paying at the checkout. I got a cinnamon twist and flaky coconut pastry (both good) and a 'chocolate bread' (not so good). But the thing I remember overall, their Sea Salt coffee.

This may actually be the best coffee I've ever walked in and bought from a store in my life. They just make the coffee, hand it to you, and it's perfect. No adulteration or additions needed. Not bitter, not burnt, just hot enough. And the saltiness mixed with the sweet is a unique flavor. Great for the cold, rainy day I was there.
