No.1 Plus Chicken - Richardson

Blesssss. My favorite Korean fried chicken joint opened up in Richardson. No more trekking all the way to K-town in the rough part of Dallas. The fried chicken takes a bit to cook because they make it fresh but it's worth the wait and the wait really wasn't all that bad. I stuck to the "Fried Original". The half portion is reasonably priced at $10.95. The half portion is still a lot of food! The spicy isn't all too spicy but the fried chicken is solid. No dryness whatsoever - just all around tender meat. Love the crispy skin. My friend loves the "Sweet Sautéed Garlic" flavor. Next time I'll be more adventurous and try more flavors but the "Fried Original" is my tried and true. They also offer a large variety of sides! Their "Green Onion Topping" over 100% white meat nuggets is a cool dish. The mountain of green onions is nice for aesthetics. The nuggets were cooked well - once again not a piece of dry meat in the house. No. 1 Plus Chicken is a great addition to Richardson.

I visited yesterday this place to try the Original Korean style chicken per my son’s recommendation. While waiting for him and his girlfriend I started with a Ramen in Spicy Chicken Broth. It was delicious ( 맛있어). Portion was small perfect for an appetizer. Then family arrived and proceeded to checkout the menu ( see the photo ) so many tasty choices. Difficult to make a decision as you want to try everything in one visit, but we settled for a Chicken platter with three chicken flavors
and salad with two different dressings. We also picked the Original Korean battered and Spicy chicken. It was a whole chicken and we asked for a chili powdered to add more onto the chicken in case we wanted a higher level of spicy was. After trying everything we had left about half of what we ordered. Not because it wasn’t delicious but because portions were much larger than expected. So we had leftovers that we split and I just finished eating today. Still delicious just like yesterday. No I have to bring my wife she has to experience this place. Whoever has a lot o friends or family members who are on a budget this is perfect place. One platter is good for 3-4 people easily. I am a newly converted. This place is amazing, and I had to try it after hearing such positive reviews of the Dallas branch. I've done both take-out and dine-in and only have positive things to say about them. The take-out packaging is ideal for people who like crispy chicken. It's an open top, which prevents your chicken from getting soggy.

Dine-in experience was nice. There is a bell that calls for a waiter which is fantastic; more restaurants should implement these bells so we don't need to flag down service! The chicken pieces are not like the typical American breast and wings. Some pieces are odd cuts like chicken ribs, so some pieces may have less meat than others. It's not a negative comment, just an observation for any readers who are curious. I will definitely come back!

Love the original location in Dallas and this is the same! Its it's own building now and has way more tables. More waiters too and a dedicated to go counter. The place is set up very well and I think the area will love it! I'm also a fan since I don't have to drive so far south now

Been a fan of NO.1 Plus Chicken at the one on Royal Lane but to have one in Richardson is awesome!
Lots of new items on the menu!
Personally I think the food is over priced but it is really is delicious!
Love having a place that is open until late that you can casually hang out with your friends and eat some good food :)
Portions are decent so bring a crowd!
