Menu is super simple so it's a great place for the indecisive and the line moves quick. Portions are big and food is tasty. I just wish there was a location closer to me.

Love the flavour of the food but they chop the gyro meat rather than serve it sliced.

I was asked "how they could have made this a 5 star experience." I honestly think it is just a difference of opinion on how to serve the gyro. When I was in Greece I practically lived on these things and they would shave them right from the side, I think by doing this it creates a more tender/juicier cut due to the fibers holding in the moisture, when chopped I think it tends to dry it out and does not lend to the full flavour...just my opinion..I will certainly be back.

Love this place. I often visited the original spot In Manhattan as I grew up in NYC. The caliber of what they serve in the store is not tremendously far off from the original spot. I ordered a mixed regular plate with falafel. Food was awesome and full of flavor. Hot sauce has tremendous bite to it. Inside of the store was clean and up to snuff.

My experience was not as I expected it to be. If you are a traveller, be ready to meet inpatient staff. Yes, I got it, they are trying to maintain a quick service. But they also need to take the time and communicate with each customer. I had an order for 4, had my order written down, and there were 2 people waiting in the line. There was no “Order Here” sign, so I went to the cashier. No one of the 5 staff members asked “ how can I help you?” I was totally ignored until I realized how everything is done, so I became the last one in the line. I showed the lady the written order, so she knows that I have several items. Once I read the first one, she took the plate and passed me. I was trying to tell her which toppings I want on the plate she had, but she was asking about the next order. I thought she wanted to know my order and take care of the additions later, but this was not the case. She stopped me to tell the other staff member to put the sauce vertically not horizontally. The man was a little confused, so she had to repeat her explanation. I told her that I am traveling and this is the first time I order here. Yet, nothing have changed. I was given my sandwich with chicken only, no sauce, no lettuce, no tomato. The lady was rushing, and she did not care to take my order or even listen to me. She was not communicating even though I tried my best to ask about the sauces and additions. I was asked to pay but I had to tell them again that I did not get what I want. I was given the additions and the sauces of the sandwiches on the side, and I had to unwrap the sandwich to put them. So, if you are a traveller, do not have big orders, it is not important for your kids to eat because people with big orders are interrupting the flow of the service. Other than that, the food was tasty, super fresh, and the rice was cooked to perfection. The hot sauce was extremely hot, which was not communicated. Thanks god that I had it in a tiny cup and got to taste it before adding it to the sandwich. The place is super clean, and the restrooms are well maintained. Outside seating is also available.

UPDATE: I went to same restaurant again and I noticed that they worked on solving the issues they had before. The new gentlemen working there did a really good job explaining the available choices and they were very friendly. They deserve 5 stars.

I introduced my teenage daughter to The Halal Guys on this Saturday night visit. She loved it and I did too. Her quote... "Definitely a do over!" which means she wants to come back again.
