la Madeleine

This location inside WalMart Super Center is La Madeleine Express.

This is a nice, smaller version of the famous La Madeleine French Bistro restaurants. This version is counter service, you pay, then find an open table.

No restrooms in here, seating for 30 diners, with 2 child highchairs also.

The menu is not as big as the regular restaurant, but still amazing. There are grab & go salads and entrees in the cooler at front counter. There are awesome looking pastries on display.

A separate cooler at entrance features "Take & Bake" entrees.

I tried the fresh strawberries with Romanoff creme, it was very good! The prep chef selected beautiful fruits, ripe, but not too ripe.

The self-serve La Madeleine house coffee was decent. They have all types of sweeteners & creme packets for all tastes.

WalMart, you made a good move, merci boucoup!

09/01/21: This is a “express” version of the la Madeleine restaurant/bakery. I am not sure when it open, but the fresh food menu is limited. So “express” truly fits its name. This location does have all the pantry items I’ve seen before in a regular la Madeleine, which a plus. Also, it’s better that this healthier restaurant is here than McDonald’s. I didn’t order anything today, but my dad gets his morning snack and coffee here since they’ve opened.
