Barley & Board

I love Barley & Board. I like the rustic decor and the food is outstanding. I never have a bad time when I go here. It is a bit expensive so we tend to visit more for special occasions, but the food is worth it. I really like the Mother Board tray with cheeses and meats. The Parisian Gnocchi is the best I have ever had with vegetables, herbs, and parmesan. Brunch on Sunday is also a great time to go. They have fun drink specials like different champagnes and really good mimosas.

Really good food. Service was great. If you like beer....lots of choices. However, the flight is a rather pricey option. Just ask for a taste of a couple and go from there.

The layout of the restaurant makes it comfortable for persons who experience public anxiety. It's always clean. The staff is always friendly. The beer, always cold. The food, always perfect. The menu seems weird at first but I've tried almost everything... and so far... TASTY. The gnocchi was surprisingly yummy and my hubby was able to have leftovers. It's a haven in the Denton Bar scene.

Wonderful atmosphere. We feel peaceful every time we go there.
Service is pretty good. Maybe it could be a bit more attentive.
Prices are high but the food is very good.
We love the burger and the homemade shoestring potato chips.
We personally feel they should stop bringing a new plastic straw with every drink refill. One is enough and it would save them money and benefit the earth.
One critical point: This visit our water tasted like a wet dog smells. Whether it was the water bottle or the glasses being improperly cleaned or the water needing filtering we couldn't say but it was really disgusting. Otherwise, 4 stars.

Good place, nice decor and nice atmosphere. Server was friendly but got us really mixed up about the beer - we tasted one thing and then were given another. The manager came and sorted it out - we ended up with a third different one but it was at least close enough to the first...
Food is creative, different, and good! Lots of varieties and sizes. We shared a few different things to try more. The building is really lovely and done up nicely.
