The food was good once salt was added. None of it was salted before cooking, not the chicken or pasta water. The waiters tried to take my husband's dish 3 times when he was only halfway through. The cannoli was heavy with cinnamon.
Sooo good, and great service! I was recently diagnosed with diabetes type II, it's embarassing, but when there's good Italian food in front of me I can't help but roll the dice.
I had driven by Salerno's for a while and had been told how great the food was, and how much I would like the design of the restaurant. Well. Let me just say, I did enjoy it, and the food was great. The waitstaff was attentive, and even though my wife and I had to wait to be seated (less than 5 minutes at dinner!), it was welllllll worth it.
I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. I carry around my own butter, and the staff gladly took it to incorporate it into my dish. They actually told me that they cook with clarified butter instead of the bad stuff. It shows. There wasn't a bite left on either one of our plates, and my wife is (needless to say), far more discerning than I.
Keep up the good work. As for some of the bad reviews, I would imagine these are the types of people that are always looking for a reason to leave a negative review.
If you're in the neighborhood (or 100 miles away), I'd tell you to give it a shot. Great all around!
Excellent service with even better food! Their new location is great if you haven’t seen it. Whether you are looking for a romantic dinner or a fun bar atmosphere to hangout at, this place really has it all. Very classy, but not too stuffy. They are also family owned so you know you will get the best service in town. Check em out, you won’t regret it!
I have loved Salerno's for 20+ years. The new location is great. I was disapointed though to find that they changed their menu at the new location. I loved the bread-now they serve the Freddie bread-I'm not a fan. Also, salads don't come with the dishes, you have to order seperately and they are alot smaller. If something is working don't try to fix it! I miss the old Salerno's menu. The food is still delicious! And the service is still great!
Delicious. We are so much we nearly exploded. The 3 year old tried every dish and loved every single one. The lasagna was my favorite - best around.
