Coolest restaurant in town. Laid back atmosphere with pleasant local service and a dog friendly patio. Great food and beverage choices. If you're looking for a unique place that serves up some southern style comfort food in a relaxed no rush open air setting look no further this is your go to spot. Local Tip: If you go here on a weekend date night imagine you're Bonnie and Clyde and ask about the 1920's Speakeasy.
Walked in tonight around 5:45pm (Sunday), no hostess and no greeting from the bartender so we stood by the hostess stand for awhile, eventually sat ourselves. Hostess passes our table without a word. We decided we would give it 5 more minutes then we will leave. About 2 minutes later a server finally came over to us to see if we had been taken care of, we said no. She apologized and got us menus. She was nice but checked on us only once and never refilled our drinks. Which makes it hard to want to go back because we really enjoyed our meal. The food was very tasty, smoked fried, mac and cheese, slaw, mashed potatoes and fries were all good. This was our second visit and service wasn't great then either. Hate to think what it's like when it's busy.
Good chicken! Stick with the fried. Smoked/fried wasn't as good on comparison. Green beans were on point and I enjoyed the Mac and cheese. Lauren was a great server!
Whatever you do make sure you do not skip the smoked chicken wing appetizer! The steak dinner was amazing too. Larry the bartender is a cool Kat too. Great place to eat and relax!
This place was terrible the first few months that it was open, but has improved vastly. Great spot for large family groups. Food was good, service was good, ambiance was decent. Drink selection needs work. It wasn't a "must-go" experience but I'd recommend it. Very casual. I didn't try the speak easy but hoping to make it by for an evening cocktail.
