Chicken Express

I love the chicken livers! But, they only give you enough gravy for half the order and made me buy extra. That’s not nice.

Good dependable fried chicken place. Chicken seems a little more watery/rubbery than a decade or so ago, but I think that has to do with the suppliers more than anything else. Very satisfying sides, I honestly recommend trying everything BUT the fries. The jalapeno poppers are particularly good here compared to many restaurants having ones with pretty terrible texture, or where the soggy pepper just slides out of the casing in a mess on first bite (Sonic is especially guilty of this). Service is usually pretty good and fast.

However, if you have a Golden Chick around you, it's almost always just a bit better in every way, and has spicy options to boot. If you don't, then this is a fine option.

I moved to oak point 18 months ago and have visited the El Dorado store numerous times. My general experience has been positive, the food was fresh and hot and the service has always been friendly. I favorite is the catfish which I have to wait for since it is it cooked fresh. Well worth a 10 minute wait. The portions are also ample.
