Food here is delicious 😋 burgers 🍔 and onion rings are delicious. My wife and I love stopping by here to dine in or take out the food is always on point. 💯 Milk shakes are yummy, too 😋 staff is super friendly and professional. The restaurant is very clean as well . Thanks AJ

What can I say?! AJ’s is a classic! We went for breakfast (which ends at 12:00 pm on weekends), and the food was pretty good! They have a great selection of items (except the soda machine which is Pepsi… but if that’s your cup of tea, then you’re welcome). The staff are super friendly, and the food is definitely classic diner food. Pricing is not high but it’s not a cheap meal either. The atmosphere is cute and clean, and the area it is in is idyllic. Parking is hit or miss, but their shakes definitely make up for it!

I used to frequent the original AJs on Mesa from the 90s through the 2000's and then they made changes to some of their menu, and alas, it wasn't my cup of tea. Today, i tried their newest location in the Cimarron shops, and although it has regained some of its former glory, i was still left missing the original flavors. Not to say it wasn't good, but i have an old point of reference that can skew my opinion. The chile con queso was super yummy, but the fries were a little too salty due to some additional seasoning that they could do without, in my opinion. The burgers are fairly thick, so i opted for the kids' cheeseburger, but there was a gamey flavor to it that turned me off. Other family had the Muenster and green chile burgers, and they thought it was sublime but had the same opinion about the fries. We also ordered the grilled cheese and chicken tenders for the kids, which they loved. I also had the vanilla shake, which was pretty tasty! A big difference at this location is that you order at the counter, and then you get your food brought over to you. Thereafter, it's self-service. So overall, I'd come back for the chile con queso and the shake, whereas my family would be ok eating here again.

Excellent 50s style! Wide selection of burgers and shakes, extremely well made and tasty, prices are good, a very fun experience. Give AJ's a try, you won't be disappointed. They also have a party room available.
