In my opinion this place is better than canes. It has way more flavor. Their "El Patron" chicken sandwich is one of the best I've had.
The chicken strips and fries were good. The gravy offered for the strips contains sausage and I don't particularly care for sausage gravy- a weird combination to have sausage gravy for chicken strips. The pricing was not bad, but I did not see the value in paying an additional $2.60 for a slice of bread (not Texas Toast, as advertised) and a little container of sausage gravy. Seems like a cool concept that needs refining. I did not try the custard, but it seemed appealing.
Decided to try this location yesterday, and I can say that it's one of the best locations in the area for the food! (besides the homeless people who roam around pissing on the property and going through the dumpster)
Which kinda grossed me out so I'll park away from that next time, or order inside. I used to go to the Horizon location on Eastlake, and their fries are always raw or theres always something wrong with them which makes me just end up throwing them away.
I enjoyed the Food Chicken on Point. LEMONADE was fresh and Sauces were tasty. Will be Returning
