Carnitas Querétaro Mexican Restaurant

Jaime our server was wonderful. He took our order and was attentive to our requests for more coffee and water. We wanted menudo but they only offer it on the weekends. So we ordered pozole instead. The place was clean inside and outside. Very nice atmosphere. On our way out I observed an older lady making four tortillas by hand. If you want to watch sports, there's plenty of large TV screens to see them on. Plenty of free parking on site too. Easy to get to since it is located just off of I-10 on Gateway boulevard west.

The Asado Carnitas Adobada is one of the best things I’ve ever put into my mouth! The pork was tender, and the sauce … oh my I want that recipe. I would have licked the plate if I was at home, so I asked for more of those hot, homemade corn tortillas to ensure I didn’t leave a drop of sauce behind! I would have taken a photo of the plate…. But I was excited to put it in my mouth - you should smell this!

Location is in its favor. However I agree with reviewers who say the food is lacking in quality. The decor does have a homey feel.

The 2 for 1 breakfast deal is awesome. If I lived here I’d be here every week. Even at breakfast they give you free chips and salsa. The breakfast options were good. My only complaint is the red sauce is quite strong for my tastes. Services was great and the fresh tortillas were excellent.

Weekend shenanigans... it was a great weekend and made a pit stop here... nice clean establishment friendly staff... the food was served promptly and all the dishes tasted great...
