Matsuharu Japanese Restaurant
Friday April 24, 2020 Review #6
Once Again I've embarked on a Take out mission for Japanese ramen. On a recommendation from a colleague, I have ended up in the Northeast part of El Paso visiting this place just down Hercules. Wait time was an hour due to orders ahead of us however it indeed was worth waiting. I ordered a basic standard bowl of a soy seasoned ramen as the broth is very tasteful and so delightful enough that no soy sauce was indeed not needed. ???? Menma, Negi, and Kamaboko accompanied my ramen along with a typical boiled egg cooked to perfection. Waiting an hour was the reason I dropped the 1 star yet I loved their taste and their flavors somehow enhanced my taste buds. (Lol) Kudos to these guys on Hercules for great ramen. I will be back for more !! Thank you to the staff and management and at Matsuharu.

Great ramen bowls and a nice selection of different bowls. Cash only so make sure you have cash on hand before. Kids love it and so does the parents.
Worth the wait! Some times the wait time is slow but it’s absolutely worth it! The noodles are amazing and so is pretty much every appetizer they have. Highly recommend get there early as soon as they open to get in fast.
While the food was very good and they serve plenty of it, unfortunately, the wait was very long to get anything served once you're seated. They were apologetic, but surprisingly they charged me for a teaspoonful of chili powder where they could have said it was on the house to make up for the long wait. Also, there are credit cards signs on both the windows and door before you enter. Those are misleading because they don't accept credit cards, so I had to drive to the nearest ATM to get cash. I would definitely return, but it was just a bad first impression having nothing to do with the food, and I was greatly inconvenienced by having to leave and come back to pay with cash.
Don't let this small place out in what seems to be a run down area stop you from coming here. Staff is friendly and food is good. I recommend this spot to everyone looking to satisfy their craving for Japanese food. This is by far the best Japanese restaurant in the area.
