Painted Dunes Desert Golf Course

Best place to golf in El Paso! Course is in great shape and very clean. When we go, it seems to never be overly busy. Walk or ride the place is great.

Dropped by Painted Dunes on my January 22, 2020 visit to El Paso, Texas and found a vibrant friendly club.

I received a mid morning tee time to the wonderfully maintained East Course and thoroughly enjoyed my round.

This is an amazing track with excellent winter Bermuda greens.

What I especially liked was the well manicured desert borders of the fairways making it easy to find wayward drives.

The clubhouse had a nice selection of Under Armour and Callaway clothing.

Midweek rounds were just $26 reflecting a modest $1 increase over 2019 rates.

The Event center caters to Weddings and quinceneras and quite comfortably accommodates up to 500 guests.

This is becoming one of the finest golf clubs in the Southwest.

Course record is a tight 59 shot during a PGA tour qualifying event some time ago.

Among the many who dropped in over the years, PGA tour winners Brad Bryant, PGA Champion Rich Beem, and a host of others.

Make a point to stop in.

My January 2020 round was played in a breeze less 61 degree balmy day.

We are new to El Paso, but my husband is an avid golfer. He went to check it out right after the movers left. The staff was so friendly and the course so unusual compared to what we were used to, he went back today to play. I rode with him so I would know what the holes look like. I also play but rode today. He played the north/west course. He joined the silver monthly membership option. So far he's very pleased even though the west course was challenging to his severe arthritis.

What can I say? Great pro shop, great staff, fantastic carts, tee boxes, fairways, and greens.

Oh yes, it's challenging on nearly every hole. I especially like the dog legs!

One of the best courses in the Southwest.
