Being in El Paso I really wasn’t expecting much in the way of sushi. I decided to give it a try, if I didn’t like what I saw I could order something cooked. I’m very glad I did. The sushi was very good. The Benihana roll is worth a try. The rest was standard sushi and sashimi that was very well portioned. My only complaint, the salmon was still a little frozen.
It was worth the trip and cost.
This is my go to place for traditional style Sushi. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu from here. Actual Japanese owned and operated. That's greatly appreciated in knowing that it's as traditional as can be for our local area. Not "Mexicanized Sushi" smothered in sauces.
Food is always on point. Never been disappointed. Very attentive waitress. Food just taste fresh. I had the sea urchin and love it.
The food was delicious and well prepared. We will be coming back soon. The Caterpillar roll is just adorable!!!
Riyoma is by far the best sushi restaurant in east El Paso. I've tried several and while tasty, nothing has had the freshness and creativity that Riyona provides. I would recommend sitting at the sushi bar. We've gotten to know KC, the sushi chef, and don't even bother with a menu. Below are some of the items he created based on our pallets. That's the best part and what sets Riyoma apart from others with it's more traditional sushi bar service. It's a staple in our meals out.
