saw the BBQ place from the road and will always stop and try new places. very friendly staff and nice, clean setting. had ribs and sausage with potato salad and coleslaw as sides. meat was tasty, flavorful and fall off the bone good. the potato salad is like a very good deviled egg and the coleslaw is deliciously sweet and creamy. Would definitely come back and recommend.
$10.63 paid for a generous sized chopped beef brisket sandwich, side order of onion rings, and a large sweet tea. The food was delicious, fresh and hot. We sat outside and enjoyed our food in the open air at a couple tables we pulled together. Service and friendliness from the staff for sure. I will be going back for sure.
Brisket, burgers, steak...it's all good. My whole family loves this place and have made it a part of our Friday routine, playing crazy 8's with the deck of cards they have as part of their game collection while we wait for our dinner. Not a fancy place; just delicious food and friendly service.
Wow. Now that was some good BBQ. I know some folks believe they have eaten some good BBQ and there are plenty of fancy BBQ joints claiming to have the best BBQ but let me tell you I found the best BBQ in Texas. It’s at Alma’s Smokehouse. Expect a long wait even when the line isn’t out the door. The food is made on an old smoker parked in the lot. The coleslaw is fresh and tasty. Not too much mayonnaise. Just right. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and at $25 for a full rack of ribs the price is just as tender. My wife and I both ate our fill and still took home enough for another meal. If you ain’t too pretentious, like modest places with exceptional food at a fair price then Alma’s should be on your short list. I wish I had taken pictures. The size of the rack has to be seen to be believed.
Took a long while to receive my food but that is because it was hot and fresh. The catfish was fresh, hot, and fully cooked. The breading was properly stuck to the fish, just the right amount of crispy, and Not dripping in grease. The Coleslaw was cool and crisp. Not flooded and not too creamy it was fresh and refreshing. Overall all a great experience, will definitely be back.
