Amazing! They were closed but opened the doors anyway! We ordered brisket, sausage, and ribs. Sides were potato salad and pinto beans! Amazing the credit machine only let me leave a 25% tip, I would have left 30! Great people and awesome food! Thank u so much!

I travel all thru Texas and Oklahoma. I have been going here for 7 years. I have yet to find a better brisket any where. I now will drive an hour off route to get my brisket fix. It's that good.

Best BBQ I have had in a long time. The service was excellent and all food was excellent from the brisket all the way down to the sides. Very friendly and down to earth service. Too bad we could only give them 5 stars.....they are worth more. We will make a pit stop for sure every time we come this direction.

The food is awesome and the restaurant is clean with lots of interesting antiques to admire or buy. The owner, Rick is so much fun to talk with. You have to check out the Sunday buffet!!! So much good barbecue and sides to enjoy.

The best brisket and pork barbecue we've had in a long time. I'm a native Texan, my spouse is from South Carolina, and Legal Tender excels on both ends of the BBQ spectrum – BBQ pork can be difficult to come by in Texas – skip the sauce, you'd be doing a disservice to the craft and to yourself. I love that the the beef brisket is served moist (fattier) and that there is a small up-charge for drier (leaner) because brisket should be served moist by default. The sides hold their own but the 'cue is the standout.

We take the back roads whenever possible so that we can discover gems such as this along the way. The owners are so friendly, the dining room is clean and attractive, plus pets are welcome if you're dining on the front porch.
