La Carreta

My mom and I tried this place today on a whim and loved it. It is more Mexican style food and not Tex Mex. The portions were huge and I have leftovers. They started us off with four different sauces and chips. They were all unique and delicious. I had the tacos al pastor and I was very impressed with the flavors. Our waitress told us the owner is a chef and that definitely reflects in the food. The freshness and quality are of a standard not found at most Tex Mex places in the area. The friendly and attentive staff were just icing on the cake here. I will definitely be back.

We were very pleased to try this new authentic Mexican restaurant. They offer several dish that are similar to a typical Tex-Mex but the flavors are ten times better. Our server was very attentive and help us pick the perfect dish. We will come back!

First visit for me and my wife. Not too crowded due to a holiday weekend (Friday). Atmosphere was relaxing and there was a welcoming attitude among the entire staff. Our waiter was attentive and conversational. The music was comfortably in the background. We each got the fajitas which came with Charro beans and rice. Both were tasty. There were 2 cuts of very tender flank steak, excellently seasoned. My wife got a margarita and soft drink, I got a Corona. All this for $60! (Before tip). Location was in a nice upscale shopping area, ample parking.
We will definitely be back!!

The rapid service and kind waiters and manager was unbelievable. I saw this place tucked away in a strip the day before and I decided to bring my daughter and family here for her birthday and it was as if we were the only people there. They catered to us and song my daughter happy birthday and we all agreed with the food. We will be going back! Thank you to all! Great vibes and relaxed restaurant ❤

As of this review La Carreta has been open 1 week. This is a delicious restaurant with great atmosphere and staff. Our food and drinks were delicious and as ordered. We sat at the bar and really enjoyed our dining experience. This will definitely be a Katy dining favorite. Try it and I know you will enjoy it. The food is delicious and the specialty drinks are phenomenal!
