This is a great brunch spot! It’s pretty causal, you order at the counter and find your own table, then they’ll call your name to the counter when your food is ready. It gets really busy really quickly, especially on the weekends, so come early (before 10:00 am) if you want to avoid the crowds.
We throughly enjoyed all our food, I’m not sure there’s an item on the menu that would be bad.
The Five & Dime was a show stopping biscuit sandwich, absolutely towering with eggs, bacon, cheddar, and smothered in the gravy. It was great but definitely a fork and knife ordeal. Overall super delicious, but maybe a little big for one person.
The Farmer was my personal favorite of the items we tried. It was a simple piece of fried chicken with cheddar and bacon, absolutely drenched in their spiced apple butter. My only wish was that the apple butter was heated more before they put it on- but it was still so good I cleared my entire plate.
The Eggs-Traordinary Risky Biscuits were a great filling breakfast, once again a little too big for one person, but super tasty. The gravy has a cajun spice in it, which was a little much, but still good.
The Smashbrowns were SO good. Amazingly crispy with lots of fresh green onions inside. The ranch was tangy and had plenty of buttermilk, just like Wingstop if you’re into that.
The Biscuit and Jelly was simple in the best way. The tender biscuit was a perfect contrast to the sweet and tangy jelly.
The Maple and Vanilla Latte was good, not great, but a good start to our day : ). It didn’t have much of a maple or vanilla flavor- but was well toasted and not too sweet.
The Peach Berry Lemonade was SO flavorful. Very smooth with both the peach and berry making their voices heard. It’s a little strong at first, but once a little ice melts it’s perfect.
Overall- we loved it. I need to come back asap so I can try more items, especially the Squawking Goat- it looked too good when the table next to us ordered one!!!
UPDATE (5/11/24):
We came back because we just had to try more food :)!! Once again- everything was amazing. We came the day before Mother’s day so it was pretty packed- but they still brought our food out super quickly.
The Squawking Goat was just as good as it was recommended to me! The pepper jelly was spicy and sweet and was a great contrast to the creamy and salty goat cheese.
The Lil’ Taco, although a kids meal, was very satisfying. A good breakfast taco that was absolutely loaded to the brim with avocado- which was much appreciated
The Chicken and Waffles was good, but the asiago of the waffle was a little overpowering. The chicken was super crispy and very tasty when paired with the syrup.
The Chocolate Chip Biscuit wasn’t amazing- very sweet but I’m sure a kid would love it : ).
The Biscuits and Gravy and the Two Egg Combo were very standard, but exactly what we wanted. They were hearty, filling, and warm on the cold rainy morning.
Once again, we had great food and a great experience with the staff- we will definitely be coming back.
We went out of our way to try this spot, and I'm so glad we did!
The vibe when you walk in is so cozy, almost like a comforting diner but more modern. It looked like there were options for outdoor seating as well. The staff are so kind and helpful, and if you order your food to-go, they call you by what you're most looking forward to (which I thought was so nice).
The food was absolutely delicious! Everything we ordered was full of flavor and so delicious I forgot to even take photos!
They have three bathrooms available, each with their own separate space. What I loved most while all three are labeled for all genders, two were designated as accessible rooms. Those two rooms have plenty of space for any type of wheelchair. A perfect example of accessibility done right!
Fine people of Fulshear/ Katy! If you love ❤️ breakfast like I do- this is your place! The staff is super friendly, the place was clean. They have the high seat seating areas, music playing- great atmosphere!
The food was fantastic! Eggs cooked exactly like I asked, crispy bacon, the smashbrowns and the biscuit with the jam!!!!
Oh it is so good!
Definitely my favorite breakfast place for sure!!!
Thanks Maple Street Biscuit Company!!!
This place is so good that I drove out twice in one week for the Squawking Goat. The goat cheese melts perfectly into the chicken and the pepper jelly gives the perfect sweet and savory kick. Yum yum yum! I only wish it was closer into Katy, it takes forever to get out to Cross Creek now!
Been wanting to try this place for a while. Great atmosphere and super friendly staff. Lots of nice, open seating. All of the food was delicious and good portion sizes for the price. So much on the menu looked great it was hard to decide. The biscuits have great taste and texture. The sausage gravy is legit. Hard to believe the kitchen isn’t full of a bunch of grandmas lol. The chicken tenders were also fantastic, really good seasoning. They could totally stand on their own against all the chicken places popping up in Katy. I will definitely come back here to try more!
