The Jay Cafe

The food was amazing the service was quick!!!! The place was full of nice people and families. We brought our 3 kids in and we were made to feel right at home!!!! I cannot wait to go back.

If your in the area, go here for ANY MEAL! I live an hour away and still make the drive when I want a delicious home cooked meal with some killer pie. The service is incredible and have even seen the Owner bussing tables and chatting up a storm with his customers, just ask him for the Pie Story.

The staff is mainly High School students from right across the road but the dozen times iv been now never had anything less than great service from them.

Weekend nights you will always see this place packed and maybe even a line out the door. The wait time is never incredible long with how fast those kids buss tables right after.

Always a pleasure eating at Jay's....love the atmosphere and the employees!! Don't even get me started about the awesome food and the chocolate shakes are my favorite. They also have pies, but I'm not a big fan of pies or cakes. :)

Love this place. Good food. A couple of complaints. They have tables in the middle and booths on the side. I now ask for booth because the tables are so high that one could just rack the food off in your mouth. Not good. The pies are not good. The coconut cream pie is flavorless. The chocolate pie has 2 inches of whipped cream, 3/4 inch of chocolate, and a thick hard crust. If you scraped out the chocolate there would be a couple of spoonfuls. Other food is great, just not good desserts. The rolls are excellent, but small, and costs for refills. In spite of all the negatives you should go there.

From the moment you step through the door your taken back to when life was simpler. The service is warm the manager is a hoot and the food if your grandma could cook it is perfect. If she couldn't then your in for a treat. I don't care if is 1 mile away or a 1000 miles away you got to try this place. The chocolate pie is breath taking.
