Mimi's New Orleans

My boyfriend and I just had lunch and let me tell you, we will be becoming regulars.. This place is awesome, the service is great, the food is great, the atmosphere and people are amazing!! Thank you so much for a great experience.. ❤❤❤

Today was the first time I ate here. I saw the menu and took the chance on ordering something completely NOT on the menu. Being a big fan of cajun cuisine I went out on a limb and placed an order for Blackened Catfish served over a bed of Dirty Rice with a side of lemon butter garlic sauce. The chef accepted my challenge and delivered one of the best presentations of fine food I have ever seen in the Richmond, TX restaurant community. Mind Blown!!! I will most definitely be returning to Mimi's again soon. The staff was very friendly and courteous.

I followed up this delicious meal with an order of beignets and coffee (tip: procure some chicory for your cajun cuisine aficionados).

We came to Mimi’s today to celebrate my brothers 59th birthday. The customer service was excellent and the food was superb. The owners were very personal and actually came over and talked to us for awhile. My Sister and brother loved the chargrilled oysters. We all had the crab seafood stew and it was absolutely delicious. If I had closed my eyes I would have thought I was in New Orleans. When I tell you this is my new go to spot for seafood and they also have the best fried chicken like your grandmother cooked it. I can’t wait to go back.

1st time here. Great, hot food. Decent prices. Everything was tasty and fresh. Nice indoor restaurant. Good service too ! Owner came over personally to introduce herself. We will be back !

Had the pleasure of dining in today for the first time. As soon as we entered the building one of the owners took our temperature, gave us menus, and sat us out our table (by the way regarding the other comments about the temperature check... it’s not that big of a deal. It’s a thing now. Takes 2 seconds. Do it. Get over it).
We were greeted promptly by our waitress (Jaelyn I think) who was terrific! Her service was absolutely amazing, never even had a drink empty as she was on top of it!
I will tell you it’s hard to order because everything sounds so yummy! I decided on the Wednesday special Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and green beans with brown gravy. My friends ordered a shrimp po boy and a catfish po boy which they really enjoyed.
Wow. Just wow. Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection! My only advice is if you’re a gravy lover like me, order extra!
As for price, I felt that yes it is a little bit more costly than going to a chain restaurant, but in all reality you’re paying for FRESH ingredients compared to “fresh” frozen items you would normally find in most establishments.
All in all we had a wonderful time, everything was delicious, fast, friendly, and hot. If you’re looking for your new go-to Soul Food spot; Mimi’s is it!
