    I really enjoyed my stay at gateway motel. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's a first class place. They even make breakfast for you in the morning. And it's not Donuts an coffee, it's bacon an eggs. This will be my place to stay when I visit the beach.

    Fond memories of my stay here, I was on a birding trip and left early each morning. The restaurant was open early and ready to serve! Got back late each evening for a well deserved quiet rest! No frills here and perfect!

    Rooms very clean! Staff nice! Enjoyed my stay. Great place to stay in going to Rookery!
    Houston Audubon Society does a great job on Rookery!

    Outstanding customer service!!! Large room with comfy bed, updated and nicely decorated. Restaurant and hotel are currently being remodeled. There were issues with the online booking company and the owners were quick to get us checked in anyway. Our stay was during a crazy cold front so they brought us the cutest little electric fireplace to keep us warm and toasty. I'd rate ten stars if it was possible!!!
