Jimmy's on the Pier

Best of both worlds here, food & fishing !
Restaurant is small not to big. Food is great! The views are spectacular, sits upstairs from gift shop over the water. You can dine inside or out in small deck. You can watch people fish & the waves crash. if you eat at restaurant you can get a free pass to walk on pier. Fishing on pier is $12 till 5am is what I understood. You can fish all night long. Pier is well lit and wide so your not crowded.

Our food was good, but the service needs drastic improvement. We were ignored after being shown to our table. The prime reason I am willing to give them 3 stars is because of the bartender seeing our long wait and serving us herself while supporting the bar. An awesome employee and good food

Food was good and so was the service, but the food was not made as described. I ordered nachos with Blackened Snapper. It was delicious and I recommend trying it, but they were made slightly different than described. Bloody Mary was very good too! Fishing at the pier was also awesome!

Excellent service. Severely underrated. Get the deep fried pickles. My new all time favorite. The seafood platter was amazing.

My wife and I both agree that this is the top casual place to eat while enjoying the beach in Galveston. The beverages and food are always excellent with friendly, prompt service and the view, especially at sunset, is spectacular. Come in off the beach, or after the beach, shopping, sightseeing, whatever. It's a taste of the Florida Keys in Galveston. Their burgers are gourmet and daily specials always a good bet. Plus, their prices are very reasonable, especially being seaside. There are a lot of pricey, overrated restaurants in Galveston, but Jimmy's on the Pier is an exceptional exception. Try them, you'll be glad you did! ????????????✔️
FYI: there is an extensive fishing pier downstairs below Jimmy's. You can have access to walk and enjoy it with a pass from the restaurant.
