Porch Cafe

This is one of my favorite Saturday morning brunch restaurants. And so much food that I take a to go box for Monday lunch!!

A beautiful, cozy atmosphere with thoughtfully prepared foods. Wait staff was mostly attentive and courteous.

Very nice atmosphere, but definitely priced high-end. The wait staff was pleasant but our visit was nearly two hours long - our group of 6 got cocktails (made by the bartender), ordered off the menu, and did not get any desserts. There were multiple waitstaff around and only about 8 tables being utilized - we still felt a little neglected by our server and had to wave her down a few times to get her attention. The building itself is beautiful and a great place for a little "fancier" fare, but you definitely need to take the time into consideration. If you're looking for a pleasant dining experience in a pretty setting and with a more "gourmet" feel, and you don't mind waiting for a while, it's great!

Service was slow during non-peak dining hour. Good Fried Green Tomatoes, but skimpy portion--could have fit the entire portion of tomato in the cup they served the accompanying remoulade sauce in! Chicken and Waffles were good too, but again, only two waffle quarters served? At $20+ for both: Good quality, extremely poor value.

It is great place in Galveston. First ti.e visit and so impressed. Food was great and price was good.
Specifically Tea lovers? You should try Hot tea. If I will visit Galveston? I will be at the Porch Cafe again.
