We stopped there at around 3PM and ordered some tap beer and a selection of different German sausages. Overall is generally good: I would prefer a better tap beer selection, the sausages were cooked on grill and were quiet nice, the Sauerkraut on the plate (placed under the sausages) was minimal, and the German coleslaw was decent. Good for a short stop.

This place moved and expanded since the last time we were here. Huge place now with nice views. Decent selection of beers still, but we definitely thought the beer menu was much more mainstream. Feels like it definitely caters to the cruise crowds being right across from the cruise ships. We didn't have our dogs with us this time but we liked the quaint old place and the big open "beer garden" for the dogs.

This establishment was a gem hidden away in the background of the strand out in Galveston. I am delighted when I encounter these places. A very family friendly environment offer table top games and a few video arcade games that will entertain the youth. The menu is short and highlightsPM. The meals hearty enough to handle your appetite. I stayed full for the rest of my day and had my lunch here at roughly 1:30 pm. The bratwurst was delicious and hand made there, but did dry up as it cooled. Maybe if a little more lard was added to the meat processing to aid the meat from drying up? That's just my opinion though. I only left out the last star because although my waitress did a great job she seemed to be the only person working all of the tables so she kind of lacked presence at times, and they don't offer sweet tea without adding the sugar yourself. Everyone knows the sugar is added before cooking the tea for best results. Still, it was a great experience an one I would gladly revisit.

The burger I ordered (traditional burger) was very filling! Only thing I didn't like was each item you add is $1.. so I added avocado/ bacon/ cheese. It becomes a pricey burger quickly. The punch was delicious and sweet. I ordered a spicy brat as an appetizer. It had great flavor but was a little dry. The atmosphere was laid back and every person I encountered from the staff was friendly. I enjoyed my impromptu visit here today.
