Altstadt Brewery

When I first walked in it was almost too fancy, I was dressed casual and didn’t really feel comfortable. I love America Craft beer and didn’t really know if would like a true German beer. Turns out I love German beer! (That is If this wasn’t a American twist to German beer)
It turned out I love it! I was pleasantly surprised when I got my bill. Turned out to be happy hour and many local people we’re coming in dressed casual also. I decided to stay for a few more. When I walked out I loved the place, I can’t wait to get back!!!!

If you enjoy a German style beer this place is solid. The patio is nice but could definitely use some shade. I tried the burger and was told "it comes dry" which is pretty weird. I would recommend they add some sauce or mayo. If you set your expectations for quirky German castle in the middle of Texas, you'll have a good time.

Really nice time last night. Took the tour, had a few beers and had dinner. We enjoyed all of it. Very nice upscale brewery. Very informative staff! Will be back!

Really nice upscale Brewery. The landscaping is very well done. Very cool interior with some interesting features. I am not a big beer person but I was impressed with beers I sampled. The lager was my favorite. Fun time and I will definitely go back.

Great brewery atmosphere. It's a gorgeous building with a courtyard made to stay in through the evening. This is one of the best places to lounge with a bite or a beer, but sadly that beer is just okay. Don't get me wrong, nothing here is bad, but nothing here is crazy good, either. Still, come for the atmosphere and you will enjoy your time - especially with friends.
