Clear River Ice Cream, Bakery & Deli

Rueben sandwich was light on the pastrami and heavy on the spicy mustard. I am used to more of a thousand island type dressing that adds a little sweetness. Rocky road ice cream was nice and creamy but it needed more chocolate flavor and could do without the caramel sauce. I would not order either item again. Nice atmosphere and quick service.

We had great service here and prices are reasonable. They offer taste samples to try different flavors. Strawberry sorbet was delicious.

Great old fashion soda you fountain feel. Lots of tasty ice cream flavors. They also have hot or cold sandwiches, salads and soups, and sweets.

I haven’t done any reviews on Fredericksburg restaurants, due to nothing being exceptional or terrible. A lot of restaurants here are overpriced and the quality of product can be lacking. That being said, Clear River is amazing! Excellent choice of flavors, extremely fair pricing and the ice cream is phenomenal. You can truly taste both the freshness and individual components of the ice cream here. The cherry vanilla and chocolate turtle ice cream were both flawless, we will be back again tomorrow!
