Red River Steakhouse

We are truckers and there was a big parking area. I love that it’s on the back road. Very cool old place they’ve made inviting. The server was amazing and all of our food was fabulous. They give you bread and free cobbler at the end of your meal! Will definitely go again.

The place looks great and is very clean. The customer service was outstanding. The food was the only downfall of the visit but happened to be the main reason I was there. I think maybe they may have used some old flour for our bread and cobbler. The steak was bland but ok and the baked potato was great.

The Red River Steakhouse makes great Prime Rib every Saturday night! A delightful cobbler for dessert with every meal. Fridays are rib night. A Texas treasure without equal, they make dinner for the family fun & delicious.

My boyfriend and I stopped by for my first Texas meal and had what the waitress suggested.. the red river chicken and it was delicious and different than the chicken meals from Ky lol. It was a delightful atmosphere with a historical view. Thank you Texas!

The Red River Mud Chicken 🐔 was good and the sides were pretty good. The Green Chili soup 🍲 was phenomenal!
The Chicken Fried Steak on the other hand ✋ was a total bust. It was nowhere near to being the "Best chicken fried steak ever!". The scabrous looking breading was greasy and the plain milk gravy tased heavily of flour. It needed plenty of salt and pepper to make it edible.
I'll give them 4 stars instead of 3 because the peach 🍑 cobbler is quite good and comes with every meal.
