I normally eat catfish at David Beards, but decided to give this place a shot (still live DB btw). New Pier has really good food, cooked nicely and the prices were not too bad either. Fried catfish is not easy to pull off, but they did it perfectly, seasoned well also. I had the fish, shrimp and crawfish tails. Shrimp was great, I wouldn't get the crawfish tails again didn't like the seasoning. They also had alligator and frog legs, I didn't try but will next time. Boiled corn and potatoes on the menu as well crawfish and shrimp. I will return. Friendly waitress.
Great food and a very nice staff. I don't rat here as often as I should but the food is consistently outstanding. My wife had the gumbo and it was delicious.
If you like fried catfish, then this is the place to go. If you like fried anything, then this is the place to go. The only thing they don't fry is the iced tea. I love this place but it really does cut your life expectancy down a few months every time you eat there.
Went there twice in two days. Service the first day at lunch time was outstanding. The food was hot and lots of it for the price. Went back on Friday for supper. Service was once again top notch and the food was hot and plentiful. Everyone seemed to know the menu and could answer all the questions we had. If you like seafood, you'll love this place. I don't eat out often but I will certainly be back to this place. Can only be described using strong, positive superlatives.
Great service for a large party. Great crawfish and fried gator. I tried frog legs for the first time and enjoyed them.
