Solid meal. If you like Raising Cane's you like this place. Similarities between the chicken and the sauce versus Cane's is uncanny. They might as well be the same place. Key differences for me definitely reside in the toast, fries, and menu options. Zaxby's has more variety than just tenders and sandwiches. They also do wings and their sides menu is more robust. Toast and fries are a matter of preference, I prefer the softer toast at Cane's but seasoned fries at Zaxby's. Overall a pretty solid lunch that rarely disappoints, although the insane amount of starches can become a chore to eat midway through.
Zaxby's has become one of my favorite restaurants. The prices are reasonable. Great quality and menu selections. My only complaint is there need to be locations throughout the metroplex - especially near home.
The new chicken sandwich is great!
We still haven't found a side we like, though. So far we don't like the fries, slaw, or onion rings.
UPDATE: Last night we ordered a box of 20 chicken strips--which were great--and supplied our own sides at home. Perfect!
Love me some Zaxby's! Just started going here about a month ago. Food is seasoned and delicious. It's a new favorite for our family. I like that they have many sauce options and that they also have some good selections aside from ONLY strips like some other places. Fries are tasty too. Staff is always patient, courteous and friendly. Get you some Zaxby's and enjoy.
