Nita & Glen's BBQ

Small Town BBQ with a Big Time taste. Almost passed it on my way through and glad I didn't. The brisket was tender enough to cut with a plastic fork, the sausage was perfect, good coleslaw and beans and a nice big cup of sweet tea. If you're ever in the area it's definitely worth the stop. Prices were reasonable and probably the most comfortable booth I've ever sat in.

Perfect definition of a hole in the wall kind of place. It may not look like much, but the food is great. Brisket was moist and flavorful, service was friendly and welcoming, and the pie is to die for. This place is definitely worth your time.

Heads up! On west side of SH281 Just south main town area. You must look close, small signage, but if you find this jewel, you will thank yourself. It is, in my opinion, perhaps the finest BBQ, in this state! I always go for the "pulled pork". It is perfect. Better than perfect, as they serve with the meat juices of the pork itself. Well cooked, properly cooked, and "mouth watering". It is owned by an older husband-wife team, who seem to have the seasoned experience to provide BBQ food at a level that is rare. The inside seating is limited, so if you have a bus load, then think about a "to go" order. As I travel up and down 281, I save my appetite for this fine establishment!

Chopped brisket sandwich was flavorful and big. Got the deal with chips and a drink.

Hubby got the pulled pork - which was equally delicious.

Pecan pie was gooey and fresh.

Definitely a good stop in the area, especially if you like supporting small businesses.
