The Salata in Bellaire is brand new, and it shows—a modern, well-lit interior with faux greenery and a variety of teas and lemonades on tap help it rise above being just a salad bar. The staff is also delightful. If you've been to Salata, or any other similar concept, you know the drill: pick a size, load a bowl up with everything you want, you're good to go. They're very generous with the shrimp, and there's good variety with all the choices. I frequently get the dressing on the side; if you're looking to stay healthy, that heaping portion of herb vinaigrette can ruin the entire calorie count!
