I recently visited Jamaica Paradise Kitchen, and I must say, their cuisine took me straight back to the heart of Jamaica. Their oxtail dish? Simply out of this world! As someone who's savored oxtail in Jamaica itself, I can vouch that the chef here must have Jamaican roots—it's that authentic and delicious.
But let's talk about their cabbage. I've never had anything like it; it's cooked to perfection. I'm generally not a fan of plantains, yet I gave them a try here, and wow, they've changed my mind. Everything at this place hits a solid 10/10.
Don't just take my word for it; the rave reviews on Google and TikTok speak volumes. And here's a little anecdote: my daughter's almost empty plate was evidence enough of how much she enjoyed their curry chicken.
Jamaica Paradise Kitchen has become my go-to spot for oxtails, hands down. Trust the good reviews, give it a try, and prepare to be amazed!"
We ordered the Chicken Curry Plates for take out along with two Meat pies. The food was fresh and steaming! It was so delicious! The portions were large, so much so that we probably could have shared one order and it be plenty for both of us. The curry wasn’t too hot but the spices were spot on. The rice and peas were perfectly prepared and the steamed cabbage was still crisp, just the way I like it. The plantains were delicious too. Overall, we will be back soon. Next time, I’m ordering the Oxtails. Another dine in customer had an order and they looked delicious!
Wow! Cypress needs to know about this place. It was so yummy. Shavonte working the register was very patient with me being that I was new to this cuisine. He explained the menu to me, so I chose the two meat combo. I selected brown stew chicken and the paradise chicken. 😋 it came with rice and peas and cabbage. Because I like a variety, I also purchased the beef patties. They were a little spicy but good. Listen, the plates can be shared by 2 people. I also enjoyed the Jamaican soda (cola champagne). I can't wait to go back.
It doesn't matter what you get.....it going to be GOOD!!! I've tried the jerk chicken, curry chicken, curry goat, etc. Everything is always fresh and delicious. The plantains are worth mentioning as well. Give them a little time because the food is made fresh and try the mango sauce 😋
I have to say, coming to this amazing Jamaican restaurant felt like home. The quality and taste of the food is outstanding as well as the superb service. I ordered the oxtail and curry goat combo, alongside with jerk chicken. The first bite i took put me in a food coma, it was so delicious. As a fellow Jamaican, this reminded me of my mom's cooking as well as the nostalgic sweet memories in Jamaica. I spend two hours on the road to try this. and i can say it was absolutely worth it. My brother recommended me to this amazing oasis of flavorfully authentic Jamaican food. I would most definitely stop by again, as well as highly recommend this sweet food paradise to anyone!!!
