    Usually always great food. The oil was a little dark this visit 11/3/18 and fry time was too long for my taste. Love the gumbo. Raw oysters were nice size! Sitting at the bar watching them shuck oysters is enjoyable. Nice cocktails for sure. Fried catfish and crab fingers...Delish, lightly battered in corn meal. I like that better than flour! My favorite location is in Main street in Houston but they are always so crowded!

    The New Manager from Austin is truly turning this place around!!
    Awesome food, Excellent wait staff, very quick and effecient, even kitchen staff was attentive! So different from past experiences under old management.
    We Certainly were impressed and will now, frequent this restaurant more often.
    Our arrival time was 7:30pm and the restaurant was busy with customers. We ordered a dozen raw oysters on the half shell which were very cold and fresh, plus the crab & shrimp jalapeños as appetizers. Then we split the fried whole catfish special that came with two. It was a very pleasant experience and enjoyable meal. 3-6-19

    Had lunch with a customer in a colleague yesterday. The place was clean and friendly. The new general manager came by and introduced himself. Really nice guy. The food was good and fresh
