Naija hmmmmm
Work in progress. Service can be better.
Simply the best in H Towm
My first time in the actual restaurant was this new location for this grand opening. Which was very successful btw. The food was great, the friends that took orders were great and the spot was jumping nonstop. You could barely find a spot because everyone was sure to support. I think it's because the owner is a very nice woman who spreads a lot of love. Congratulations and much more success! Now to business...I've had the food before (ordering out) and what I can say is that it's always consistent which is hard to find in African establishments. Being someone who loves abula (amala, gbegiri & ewedu) I'm always excited to have this meal when I go home to Nigeria. So it's a big deal for me to have that craving nurtured right here in Houston. The only 2 things that get me is the variety of meat. It seems to be limited and the spice level of the abula. I love spice but not in this meal. If I'm having ayamase or pepper soup bring it on but my mouth & lips always burn when I have abula from here. I'd suggest having options for people so everyone can enjoy without hesitation. Perhaps a regular abula and the current that's offered being the spicy option. I'd also add more meat options, not everytime do I want beef or goat, perhaps fish or cow foot. The ponmo is good and soft, let me not forget that. Also the jollof rice was surprisingly good too. I'll try something else on the menu next time but this is winner for now.
You can never regret your visit.
