Nice place and good professional service. I'm not sure if I ordered the right things but what I did order was just okay. I'm not sure what I was expecting with the fish dip appetizer but it resembled and tasted like an everyday scoop of tuna salad. The beef in the surf and turf was more like deep fried pot roast. The scallops on that dish were fine. The risotto on the scallops plate my partner ordered was pretty great though! I'll give it another try but won't get there same things for sure.
Great service, nice place, but the food was just okay. We had 9 in our party and I don't think any of us thought the food was outstanding. Might give it another try because of the wonderful staff and atmosphere.
Great place and atmosphere, we arrived Saturday at 7pm, I was afraid we were not going to find a table, fortunately the place was not crowded and we got a nice table outside, i would go back the service, food and ambience was great. Definitely a place to relax have a great conversation and enjoy a bottle of wine. Oh and order the chocolate cake!
Met my Sunday breakfast buddies at Field and Tides for a change of pace. We went at 10 am and were the first people in the door. There is parking for 4 cars behind the restaurant and a lot across the side street as well. Both lots were empty when we arrived. When we left a valet service had blocked the driveways and set up in both lots for $5 a car. Glad that wasn't there when I arrived I would have second guessed my need to go anywhere I wasn't given a choice to park myself or valet. I don't mind paying for valet, far from it, but I prefer to be given a choice. The restaurant is well appointed and appears clean. We had a kind, patient server. The virgin bloody mary is tasty, if a little spicy for my taste. I thinned it with water and it was perfect. We ordered the fried tomatoes with crab and a cane sugar reduction for starters. Wonderful dish. The crab was so fresh, the crispy tomatoes on a bed of field greens. The reduction was a perfect counterpoint to the slight bitterness of the greens. My buddies had the fried cod sandwich and avocado toast. I had the egg and bacon, sausage platter. Every bit of the food was delicious and enjoyed to the last bite. They serve sour dough bread, a personal favorite. Our server was attentive without being obtrusive and super nice. The cost for breakfast for three without the tip was $74 and well worth it! Five stars!
We really enjoyed this place. The raw oysters were delicious. We also had the risotto and fried brussel sprouts! Service was great and the folks were very friendly.
