Well Done Cooking Classes

We (me and my husband) took a Knife Skills I class. What a waste of time and money! The instructor, Oscar (?), knows nothing about knives. Did not know the difference between a chef's knife and a butcher knife, between Asian knives and American knives. He attempted to show how to use a knife sharpening steel. Held the steel in the AIR and moved the sharp edge of the knife toward HIMSELF. Other participants knew more about knives than that so called instructor.

UPDATE: Well done offered us a different class to participate in after our less than great experience with the Knife Skills I class. I appreciate them listening and trying to improve.
We did Dinner in Tuscany with a friend. The class was not very educational but much more fun than the knife skills. We have not learnt many cooking skills but If you want to socialize with friends or colleagues over cooking and wine than it may be a good idea.
I would give 3.5 starts for the combined experience for the two classes. 4 stars for the Dinner in Tuscany and 1 for the Knife skills.

We had the most amazing cooking experience at Well Done Cooking Classes tonight: Dinner on the Bayou with Chef Oscar. We made the most mouth watering blackened steak, shrimp etouffee, and shrimp and andouille sausage gumbo. All was topped off with a delicious bread pudding with rum sauce. This is our third time to experience Well Done Cooking! So worth the drive! Highly recommend!

I do these classes 1-2 times per month and am always pleased with my experience. All instructors are great, especially Jamie. The food is mostly prepped in advance, so there is no time wasted on chopping. The ingredients are always fresh and delicious, and plenty of food for the money. Always have left overs for the next day. Will continue to come here regularly!

We loved it! We cook all the time but still learned some tips. The owners are fantastic! They created a very welcoming environment and relaxing atmosphere.
